The Way of James
Hämeen Härkätie is the furthest northeast of the roads leading to Santiago de Compostela. The way of James runs through Hämeen Härkätie from Rengo to Turku. From Turku it continues via Rymättylä towards Santiago. The total distance from Rengo to Rymättyla is 242.4 km. Friends of The way of James -organization takes care of the way of James in Finland and also organizes pilgrimages with local organizations. In addition, it writes pilgrimage passports for pilgrims going to Santiago and organizes blessing of the pilgrims’ journey for all pilgrims in the spring.
📍Note: Construction work in central Raisio is affecting the the Way of James pilgrimage route. The underpass next to Raisio Library is closed, and pilgrims should follow a temporary detour.
